Performance improvements for the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are described by Xiaomi.
The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be available on December 1, according to the company, so we won't have to wait long for them to arrive. Xiaomi has been trying to tease various information regarding the Xiaomi 13 series in the interim, some of which we highlighted yesterday. However, the corporation has since provided further information, as seen in the screenshots below.
The Xiaomi 13 series will use Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, as Xiaomi had previously revealed. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Xiaomi 12 series, Xiaomi claims that the chipset alone will result in 40% CPU and GPU enhancements. UFS 4.0 flash storage and LPDRR5X RAM will also be available in conjunction with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. LPDRR5X RAM can operate at 8,533 Mbps, which is 33% faster than the LPDDR5 equivalent powering the Xiaomi 12 series. Xiaomi, however, asserts that the use of UFS 4.0 would result in 100% quicker storage speeds.
Overall, gaming smartphones should be able to compete with the Xiaomi 13 series, which may even outperform the iPhone 14 Pro series. Due in part to a new generation of silicon-oxygen batteries and enhanced packaging technologies, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are expected to last up to two days between charges as well. Additionally, it appears that Xiaomi will sell the Xiaomi 13 Pro in a minimum of three colors, one of which being ceramic green. As far as we can determine, the new "nano skin" technology from the company will only be offered in a blue finish.
