With pre-installed apps utilizing less power and taking up less space, MIUI 14 has an upgraded system design that results in greater performance. Additionally, with a brand-new widget style, home screen folders, and "Super icons," users will have additional customisation possibilities. No user data is saved in the cloud, and all operations are carried out locally on the device, drastically improving privacy.

More features including document scanning, translations, and call assistant with a spam call filter will be added to the Mi AI voice assistant. Additionally, Xiaomi improved the stability of pairing and connections with other Xiaomi products, including headphones, tablets, and TVs. The search function has been updated, and the results are now categorized by categories and search history. Additionally, MIUI 14 adds support for more wireless card readers and speeds up connections by utilising mobile data when Wi-Fi is unavailable.
