The 1-inch main camera of the flagship Xiaomi 12S Ultra Imaging Limited Edition is enhanced with new screw-on filters and a matching cover.

For the 12S Ultra, Xiaomi has created a special Imaging Limited Edition gift box that includes appropriate filters and the super-premium smartphone. The OEM claims that they can maximize the performance of the smartphone's primary 1-inch Leica-branded camera sensor and can be fastened onto the handset due to a cover with threads for its round rear camera hump.

With the 12S Ultra's first Leica-branded circular back camera hump that rotates around a first-generation Sony IMX989 primary camera sensor, Xiaomi promotes it as a device for photography aficionados. With a new Limited Edition, the OEM has now taken its pursuit of this influence for the Mi 11 Ultra's successor even further.

It consists of a new present box for the smartphone and a new leather cover with tailored threads for the main feature of the 12S Ultra, which has a gold rim. Xiaomi has not recommended the use of lenses with the adapter (this time), but it does allow the two provided filters (a 52mm CPL and an 8x star) and the suitable metallic hood to be attached to the smartphone.

Under some circumstances, the 12S Ultra is supported to further enhance images produced with accessories that are typically exclusive to specialist cameras (and are more likely to help the super-premium handset keep its balance).

The new unique edition of the flagship may not be intended for retail sale, though; rather, it appears to be a one-of-a-kind prize in a recent promotion Weibo-based giveaway. The entry period is November 13, 2022.
